Superintendent Update

It is an exciting time at Midview!

As you may have heard, the Midview Local School District Board of Education is in the process of searching for a new superintendent, as Scott Goggin will be joining the Westlake City Schools as superintendent beginning the 2016-2017 school year.

The interviewing process is still on schedule with the original timeline. The board is currently conducting the first round of interviews with seven candidates that it has selected out of the original pool of applicants. After this part of the process has been completed, the board is asking for your help.

On Thursday, April 28, at 5 p.m. in the Midview Middle School all-purpose room/cafeteria, we will have a public participation component of the superintendent search. We invite any and all internal and external stakeholders, including Midview community members, parents and staff, to “Meet and Greet” the finalists.

By the time of the “Meet and Greet,” only two to three candidates will remain in the search for a new superintendent. The meeting will consist of each candidate giving a personal introduction, followed by a Q&A session facilitated by K-12 Business Consulting. Everyone in attendance will be asked to give feedback on each candidate, which will be considered when the board makes its final decision.

We encourage you to be a part of this important process. Complete details of the search are available on our website. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call or email Board President Tom Tomasheski at 440-315-9454 or ttomasheski@midviewk12.org.

On behalf of the Midview Board of Education,
